THE LOCATION OF ARD-NA-RI
Ard-na-Ri is set amid the
magnificent scenery of the Ring of Kerry - famous throughout the
world.
Sitting proudly above the world class 18 hole
Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club it overlooks the second green
of this fabulous golf course, down to the Kenmare Bay and across
to the Beara Peninsular.
Kenmare has been described as "The Jewell
on the Ring of Kerry" and it truly lives up to its title. The
town, founded in 1670 by Sir William Petty, has many of its original
features still preserved.
Kenmare has long been acknowledged as a
haven for gourmets and people who just enjoy good food. It's location
on the edge of the sea provides Kenmare with seafood that is quite
simply the best there is. There is a range of restaurants to suit
all tastes (and pockets!), whether you prefer to relax and enjoy
fine dining, rated as some of the most artful in Ireland (New York
Times) or sit in a local pub and feast on wild mussels fresh from
the cleanest waters in Europe - Kenmare is the place to be. At the
very top end of the range Kenmare has two exclusive hotels, The
Park Hotel and The Sheen Falls; both play host to politicians, stars
from screen, TV. & the stage and millionaires from across the
world.
